Purdue Extension Invites you to Lunch ‘n Learn What Extension Doeson November 15

LAWRENCE COUNTY - OCTOBER 30, 2023 - Purdue Extension-Lawrence County will host a Lunch-n-Learn on Wednesday, November 15, from 12-1:15 PM at the StoneGate Arts and Education Center (931 15th Street, Bedford).



There is no charge for this event. For this year’s event, we are excited to welcome Dr. John Blanton, Department Head of Animal Sciences at Purdue University, as our guest speaker. He will speak on the process of receiving funds for Extension, from the national down to the local level, and the ways Extension supports Workforce Development at the local level.


Attendees will also hear from Elizabeth Butterfield about the impact made on her students by the CATCH My Breath, a vaping prevention program. Purdue Extension-Lawrence County Staff from all program areas (including 4-H and Youth Development, Agriculture and Natural

Resources, Health and Human Sciences, Nutrition Education, and Community Wellness) will be available for discussion and will also have a report on the year in review. We encourage you tocome to learn more about what Extension Does in our community and how we can partner with other groups to make even more impact in Lawrence County.
