DUBOIS COUNTY - JANUARY 22, 2024 - A large explosion that was felt for several miles including in Orange County according to emergency officials was from a house fire.
At least one man is missing following the explosion at a residence on South Hilham Road Monday evening.

Lost River Township Volunteer Fire Department that homes more than half mile away was damaged, with the explosion felt more than ten miles away.
Reports that a home exploded in the Hilham area in eastern Dubois County with multiple departments and agencies responded to the incident.
Dubois County Sheriffs Department, Indiana State Fire Marshals Office will be investigating the incident.
