LAWRENCE COUNTY - APRIL 23, 2024 - Lawrence County Superior Court Judge Bob Cline appeared before the Lawrence County Council after several of his employees was shorted proper compensation by former Lawrence County Auditor Jessica Staggs.

This mistake had to due in regards to the incremental raises. " We would send it over and apparently it got changed," said Judge Cline in talking about how the employees never was properly paid.
" No one here now is responsible for that," added Judge Cline.
" The problem with Judge Cline issues is resolved correct ?," asked Vice- President Rick Butterfield. To which Lawrence County Auditor Paula Stewart replied " At least for his department,"
" My speculation there are many more is out there, in other departments," stated Judge Cline

Lawrence County Auditor Jessica Staggs was removed from office last year and escorted out of the office by the Indiana State Police.
Staggs served as Vice-Chairman of the Lawrence County Republican Party who has since resigned that position.
The Lawrence County Central Committee has appointed Nikki Smith to the vacant Vice Chair position, and Ryan Griffith to the vacant Secretary position, joining Heath Hawkins as Chairman and Travis Sanders as Treasurer.
To date no one has left a official statement for her removal from office.
