LAWRENCE COUNTY - JANUARY 12, 2024 - Coming soon to the Lawrence County Zephyr the tax rates and levies for Lawrence County units of government have increased.
In briefly looking over the information provided by Indiana Department Local Finance what is evident taxpayers in Bono Township, Marion Township, City of Mitchell and Spice Valley Township will be paying significantly more taxes in 2024.
The City of Mitchell residents paying more out of the other taxing units. Mitchell will be paying .67 more in their levy in 2024.
This year, the Mitchell Community School Corporation capital improvement project has contributed to the increase in the tax levy.
