MITCHELL - JANUARY 9, 2023 - Mitchell School Board members were updated on the capital improvement projects.
The turf for both the baseball and softball fields could be laid down sometime next week depending on the weather
The grading for the baseball field has been completed and crews will be moving to the softball fields next week. After this is completed, the turf should be laid down, pending the weather, and temperatures
The work at the fieldhouse was delayed due to supply issues with the steel. Indy Steel. The project is still expected to be completed by August
The Maintenance Building is nearing completion with a walk through, and punch list expected to be completed by next week. By then the equipment and materials in storage should be moved into the new facility.
There was some water damage done at the Junior High School building in one of the rooms and the construction company is expected to have the room repaired.
