PAOLI - MARCH 4, 2024 - Sunday Morning, March 3rd, Trooper Mackenzi Alexander was working on State Road 37 in Paoli. Trooper Alexander was sitting stationary in a driveway when a vehicle driven by, Jaden Hawkins, ran off the road in front of her striking a culvert and some mailboxes before stopping back on State Road 37.

Trooper Alexander made contact with Hawkins. Hawkins showed visible signs of impairment. Hawkins was transported to IU Health Paoli for a chemical test and medical clearance.
Hawkins was subsequently arrested for operating while impaired. Hawkins was transported to the Orange County jail where he is being held on bond.
