FAYETTEVILLE - NOVEMBEMBER 22, 2022 - Several fire departments are on the scene of a field and barn fire at the intersection of Faye/Owen Road and Armstrong Station Road northwest of Fayetteville.
Smoke from the fire could be seen as far away as Bloomington. A small field fire extended into a barn. Firefighters are trying to keep the fire from spreading into nearby fields and other structures.
The call was reported at 12:10 Tuesday afternoon. Indian Creek Fire Department requested additional help from Marshall, Perry and Oolitic Volunteer Fire Departments.
Despite warnings both yesterday and today about windy conditions residents continue to have open outside burning.
