SEYMOUR - NOVEMBER 11, 2022 - On November 5, 2022, patrol officers with the Seymour Police Department began an investigation involving a 19-year-old male having sex with a 12-year-old female. The incident was reported to the Indiana Department of child Services.
On November 8, 2022, patrol officers with the Brownstown Police Department stopped the suspect Ramiro Regalado, on an unrelated traffic incident involving his driving status and drugs. Officers with Brownstown Police were then advised that investigators with Seymour Police were wanting to speak with Regalado about the sex offense. Regalado was transported to the Seymour Police Department where he was interviewed by investigators.
Ramiro Regalado age 19 of Seymour, was arrested by Seymour Police for child molesting a level 3 felony. Regalado was also arrested by Brownstown Police for operating a vehicle while never having received a license, and possession of marijuana. The investigation into the sex offense is still ongoing.
