Playground Palooza Brings Fun Over the Weekend

FAYETTRVILLE- MAY 31, 2022 - Lawrence County Independent Schools Playground Palooza was a lot of fun for the community. The event is to raise funds for playground equipment.


Work has started for the placement of ADA Playground equipment at Lawrence County Independent Schools in Fayetteville


The day started off with a pancake breakfast, vendors filled the gymnasium to sell a variety of products, and treats, and then many games were played outside.


The pancake breakfast started off the activities at the Palooza on Saturday, Joanne Synmcox greets the attendees


A Stat Flight Helicopter landed at the school around 10:00 a.m. but the visit was cut short due to a motorcycle accident in Springville.

According to event goers the biggest highlight was putting principal Joanne Synmcox in the dunking booth and put her in the water.



The school is working towards getting the playground equipment purchased and installed which will be ADA compliant. The cost of the equipment is estimated at $150,000.
