WASHINGTON COUNTY - MAY 26, 2022 - On Sunday, May 22, 2022, the Washington County Sheriff's Department and other emergency services responded to the area of Fredericksburg Depauw Road, just south of US Highway 150 for a single motor vehicle crash, where the driver was trapped inside the vehicle.

The driver was identified as Noah Marrs, age 18 of Fredericksburg, Indiana. Marrs was extricated from the vehicle by Fire and E.M.S.. Marrs was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Evidence at the scene indicated that Marrs was navigating a curve when his vehicle lost traction to the roadway, and caused Marrs to lose control of his vehicle. The vehicle travelled off the roadway and struck several trees before coming to a stop.
Lt. Allen Taylor is the investigating officer and was assisted by Washington County E.M.S., Salem Fire Department and Posey Township Volunteer Fire Department.
