LAKE MONROE - (APRIL 24, 2022) -Firefighters were called to the Lake Monroe Cut-right area to assist 6 kayakers.

Strong winds on the lake made it difficult for the kayakers and caused two of them to overturn. Firefighters were able to get the kayakers out of the water and take them to shore along with their kayaks.
Monroe Fire Protection District was assisted on scene by Indiana Department of Natural Resources and IU Heatlh Lifeline Ambulance Service Bloomington .
No injuries were reported.
