MONROE COUNTY - NOVEMBER 21, 2022 - Fire crews from the Monroe County Fire Protection District are working on a large wildland fire near Lake Lemon on North Gray Avenue.
The call reporting the incident came in around 7:20 a.m. this morning.
Monroe Fire Protection District requested the assistance of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources to assist in the fire, however those crews are still working the large fire at Brown County State Park and is unable to assist.
As of 8:20 a.m. fire crews are still on the scene, using brush rigs, leaf blowers and other equipment to get the fire under control.
