BEDFORD - (February 13, 2022) - American Rental is celebrating 41 years of business first opened in 1980 in Bloomington Indiana.
In Bedford its location was known as Full-O-Pep which operated on 16th Street by the former Kroger store was located which opened in 1983.
American Rental is a family owned and operated business.
American Rental has grown to include more than 50 retail locations throughout Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
The retailer, as well as the Bedford location offer brand name furnishings (furniture, appliances, electronics, mattresses and more.

American Rental Manager Mark Nolan has worked for American Rental off and on for 23 years. Nolan first started as a sales representative, then as store manager.
" I started out about 19 years of age working here. I purchased my first video camera and VCR. II was coming in to make payments and was asked if I wanted to work for them," said Nolan.
" This company is a great place to work for and gives a person to move up in the company. We currently have six full time employees, and currently there are no openings but encourages people to turn in an application,"
Customers are given the opportunity not only to rent but can make purchases off the sales room floor. There are no credit checks, and we try our best to work with the customer in any financial situation that may arise. The store offers weekly or monthly payment plans.
" The six months same as cash option first originated with our company," said Nolan.
