BEDFORD - AUGUST 15, 2022 - Bedford Police Chief Terry Moore informed the Bedford Board of Works that Captain Timothy Chen has been placed on administrative leave.
Chen was placed on administrative leave August 9, 2022. Chen has been a officer for the Bedford Police Department for 15 years according to Moore.

Details of the reason why Captain Chen has been suspended has not been released at this time.
The first part of the process is to notify the Bedford Board of Works, an investigation is now underway with a third-party attorney which is standard practice in these matters.
Once the investigation is complete Bedford Police Chief Moore will come back to the Board of Works with a recommendation.
