LAWRENCE COUNTY - SEPTEMBER 19, 2022 - The White River Humane Society has requested the City of Bedford to increase its contribution from $24,000 a year to $52,000 a year.
The Board of Works tabled the request until the Bedford City Council is held Monday night at 7:00 p.m.
The White River Humane Society provided a breakdown of costs of service at their facilities, and number of cats and dogs the shelter takes in every year.
Costs of preparing cats - 26 cats - $ 45,150.39

Gross payroll for 2021 - $165, 752.42
