Veterans Affairs Hosting " Welcome Home Veterans" April 25th from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm

BEDFORD - APRIL 13, 2023 - The Office of Veterans Affairs is hosting " Welcome Home Veterans" event with the Daughters of American (DAR) helping with this event.


The event will be held on Tuesday April 25th from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Stonegate Arts and Education Center 931 16th Street, Bedford, Indiana.


The event is open to the public, with veterans and their families are welcome.


A Veterans Affairs officer will be in attendance for information on benefits and resources. Light refreshments provided by the Magic Morning Bakery.


A program will begin at 3:00 pm by JT Doane.

" The purpose of the event is to let veterans know what benefits are available to them. We have a special gift for the Vietnam Veterans or (their next of kin) if the veteran has passed," said Loretta Shuler, Regent of the Daughters of American Revolution Chapter.



A book titled " A Time of Honor" detailing different soldiers " stories ' about their time in Vietnam will also be handed out to the veterans.
