MONTGOMERY - September 28th, 2023 At approximately 1:46pm, Daviess County Central Dispatch received a call of a two (2) vehicle head on collision on U.S. 50 in McCracken’s curve west of Montgomery Indiana.
Daviess County Deputies arrived on scene and began investigating. The initial investigation shows a 2016 Hyundai Elantra was traveling west bound on U.S. 50 and for an unknown reason, went left of center and struck a 2018 Chevy Silverado head on.
The driver of the Hyundai Elantra was identified as Allison Potts, 20 years of age, from Washington Indiana.
The front seat passenger in the Hyundai Elantra was identified as Braydyn Baker, 23 years of age, from Washington Indiana.
Both Allison Potts and Braydyn Baker were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Families have been notified.
The driver of the Chevy Silverado was identified as James Clark, 68 years of age, from Washington Indiana, was flown to Deaconess Midtown Hospital for severe injuries.
The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office is the investigating agency.
The Indiana State Police are reconstructing the accident. The Daviess County Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by the Montgomery Volunteer Fire Department, Cannelburg Volunteer Fire Department, the Daviess County Ambulance Service, the Daviess County Coroner’s Office, the Indiana State Police and Tri County Wrecker Service
