The Brotherhood of Firefighters Stand with Ethan Holsapple during his long journey to recovery

BEDFORD - AUGUST 2, 2023 - The Brotherhood of Bedford firefighters continue to stand with Ethan Holsapple encouraging him by shaving their hair off and sending words of encouragement to the young man.

In fire stations across the United States when one hurts, and when one of their firefighters family hurts: they all hurt. When one is in trouble, they do all they can to help solve the problem. There are times that is not easy to do or can even be solved.

Sometimes the only thing that can be done is show them, that you love them and have their back through thoughts, prayers, and other expressions of being with them through the struggle.

Ethan Holsapple is currently in a Bethesda Maryland hospital undergoing a bone marrow transplant which began on July 20th.

Ethan was diagnosed with CD40 Ligand Deficiency, which is rare immunodeficiency disorder that is found only in 500,000 male children.

In the latest Facebook post from Bedford Firefighter Local #728 the post stated the following:

"Ethan, we want you to know that we are with you in this fight. You are in the thoughts and prayers of every #728 member every hour and every day....

We know your fight is far from over and we will be here for you until you are back home safe with all of your family! Stay strong brother!
