SOUTHERN INDIANA - AUGUST 7, 2023 - A severe thunderstorm with a tornado warning has caused several trees and powerlines to fall in Dubois County.

A tree have reported to fallen on a residences in the Dubois and Crystal area.
At this time there are not known whether their are any injuries that have been reported.
Several fire departments in Dubois County are responding to the area on Indiana State road 56 East to help clear trees to gain access to the residences. Several county roadways in the area have trees and powerlines that are down.
In Orange County there are several reports of trees and power lines down with fire crews from Orange County Fire District 1 responding to deal with the storm damage in the French Lick Area.
Lost River Twp Volunteer Fire Departments from Martin County have been assisting crews in both Orange and Dubious County area.
In Lawrence County lightening struck a natural gas pole and caused a fire in the 200 block of Middle Leesville Road with Shawswick Volunteer Fire Department responded to that incident just before 12:30 am.
In Washington County there are reports of trees on two residences, the first being on College Avenue and the second on Cardinal Avenue in Salem, Indiana. Salem Fire, Salem Police and Washington County EMS have responded to that incident. At this it is not known whether there are any injuries.
Salem Fire Department have also being dispatched to power line fire on Old Indiana State Road 60 East. There are numerous reports of fallen trees some in powerlines throughout the City of Salem.
A round of thunderstorms with radar indicated Tornado Warnings have been issued in Dubious, Lawrence Orange, and Washington Counties.
With the most severe have been from Dubious County just north of Jasper and moved northeast direction into Orange County, and Washington Counties.
A tornado was indicated in the storm in the French Lick area.
Lawrence County Zephyr will try to update the information when more information becomes available early Monday morning.
