BEDFORD - SEPTEMBER 26, 2022 - The Indiana Department of Transportation announced an upcoming road closure on or around October 10 on State Road 58 in Bedford.
The closure will be to allow crews to remove a railroad crossing on the roadway. Once the rails are removed, the former crossing will be reconstructed and repaved.
The project is expected to take a week to complete, depending on the weather.
During the closure the City of Bedford is facilitating detour using three city streets. The detour is Lincoln Avenue to U.S. 50 to I Street for eastbound traffic and using J Street for westbound traffic.
Local traffic will have access up to the point of closure.
