BEDFORD - NOVEMBER 16, 2028 - The public is welcome to the ribbon cutting for the opening of the new Bedford Police Station on November 28th at 4:00 pm.
The new police station is located at 2308 16th Street in Bedford, which puts the station closer to the busy retail area on the city's westside.

The construction of the building was just over $3 million with the Bedford Redevelopment Commission authorizing Tax Incremental Financing to build it.
The boundaries of the TIF district was expanded along a narrow strip of 16th Street to use the funds.
The new station reppaces their old station which has been in use since the early 1900s. The police have outgrown the old facility with little space, for training and multiple uses for other city departments.
