OOLITIC - JULY 7, 2022 - Lawrence County Deputy Sheriff Joshua Rhoades, Oolitic Town Marshal James Harrington, and their canine partners Dusty and Deny Joe were patrolling in and around Oolitic on Thursday 07/07/2022.
Marshal Harrington conducted a traffic stop at 1:30 am, on a red Chevrolet Cobalt, because the license plate wasn’t legible, and he was assisted by Deputy Rhoades.
Marshal Harrington smelled an odor commonly associated with Marijuana emitting from within the vehicle, and Deputy Rhoades recovered a smoking device containing burnt Marijuana, and a Ziploc bag containing approximately one gram of Marijuana from within the vehicle.
