BEDFORD - FEBRUARY 26, 2023 - One person was airlifted to a Louisville Hospital following a two-vehicle head on collision on U.S. 50 East near the intersection of Boyd Lane.
The condition and number of the other accident victim(s) is not known at this time.
The accident happened just after 12:30 pm on Sunday afternoon with the exact time of the incident is known at this time.
The patient was transported from the scene by IU Lifeline ground ambulance to a landing zone located at the Bedford North Lawrence High School.
U.S 50 East was closed at Boyd Lane and Stars Blvd with traffic being diverted while the accident was being investigated by the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department.
