WILLIAMS - FEBRUARY 20, 2023 - One person was airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital following and early morning accident on Indiana State Road 450 Monday, morning.
A person traveling on State Road 450 when the single vehicle went off the roadway striking a utility pole. The accident happened approximately 1.5 miles west of Coxton Road.
The driver had to be extricated from the vehicle by Bedford Fire Department. The extrication took more than 15 minutes before being transported by IU Lifeline ambulance to a landing zone.
The patient was transported to an Indianapolis hospital by Stat Flight Air Ambulance.
No other details on the accident are available at this time.
Lawrence County Sheriff's Department, Bedford Fire Department, Indian Creek Township Volunteer Fire Department, and IU Lifeline Ambulance responded the accident.
