LAWRENCE COUNTY - FEBRUARY 2, 2023 - The National Weather Service acknowledged one of Lawrence County's own on Wednesday. In a Facebook post it says "Today we are celebrating another Feldun-Purdue Agricultural Center employee's participation in the National Weather Service Cooperative Observer Program, Sam Perry Jr., with 10 years of service.

When Sam is not at the Bedford, Indiana area center taking weather observations or tending to the cows and pastureland, he enjoys family life on his own farm raising hair sheep and cattle, a little hunting and fishing when time allows, and coaching his children’s basketball teams.
