BEDFORD - JUNE 5, 2022 - There was very few items of consideration on the agenda Thursday evening with the meeting lasting approximately ten minutes.
North Lawrence Community School board members Bryce Bennett did not attend the meeting.
Actions taken included:
Approval of 2022 -2023 North Community Schools handbooks for BNLHS, NLCS middle schools, NLCS Elementary Schools, and Gateway Academy
Approved the North Lawrence Career Center Teacher Rubric which will help with the evaluation of students at the career center.
Approved the FMX scheduling Agreement which will help with the custodial, technology, and food services staffing.
The only person to address the board was Joe Timbrook, Lawrence County Economic Growth Council who told the board members about the 9th graduating class of the Local Job and Skills Program. Nine students graduated from the program last week, with a total of 87 students graduating from the program since its inception. By the end of June approximately 100 students will graduate the HSE programs outside of the current career center programs.
