Mitchell Woman Sentenced to Indiana Department of Corrections for 4 Years

BEDFORD – JUNE 1, 2022 - Lawrence Superior Court II Judge Bob Cline sentenced a Mitchell woman to 4 years in the Indiana Department of Correction after she pleaded guilty to her crime as a part of a negotiated plea agreement with the State of Indiana.

Leslie Winkler, Mitchell Indiana resident, was sentenced to 4 years at the Indiana Department of Corrections for Possession of Child Pornography, a Level 5 Felony. Winkler will serve 3 years executed in the Indiana Department of Corrections and 1 year of Sex Offender probation.


Winkler is required by law to register as a sex offender for 10 years. Winkler pled guilty to Possession of Child Pornography and viewing these images with her husband, Brennan Winkler.


Leslie Winkler cooperated with Law Enforcement, and her husband Brennan Winkler was sentenced to 7 years in the Indiana Department of Corrections in April 2022 for Dissemination of Child Pornography, a Level 4 Felony.
