MITCHELL - JULY 18, 2023 - The Mitchell Community School Board voted 3-2 Monday night in the hiring of Burris Elementary Ten Month Administrative Assistant Cara Shaw effective July 24, 2023.

School members Krystal Shetler and Patrick Redman broke away with the 5-0 vote on the remaining new hires for the school corporation. Board President Chris Shaw, Crystal Mikels and Steve Burton voted in favor of the new hire.
The votes on the new hires was taken separately for the employment of staff, and as a whole on the extra curricular positions.
The board authorized Superintendent Brent Comer to hire staff as needed for the school year. Comer reported that most the positions are filled.
