BEDFORD - SEPTEMBER 6, 2022 - Milling has begun in the downtown Bedford area around the Bedford Square. Crews with Flynn & Sons have begun the milling in around I Street and J Street around the Lawrence County courthouse.
The crews of Flynn & Sons will then began paving throughout the week, in areas around 18th street from C street to Q street as well as on J Street from 14th - 18th Street.

The railroad tracks were removed recently, on 18th Street Bedford Utilities have made repairs to the stormwater system around St. Vincent's school and the roadway at the intersection of 18th and will be improved.
Over the last couple of years, the City of Bedford have used Community Crossing Grants to make improvements to several miles of streets and roadways within the City of Bedford.
