On July 25, 2022, the Washington Police Department's 2nd shift received a complaint that 30-year-old Jan McAtee was engaging in inappropriate messages with a teenager on social media.
Officers/Detectives with Washington Police Department, Indiana State Police, and the Daviess County Sheriff's Office were able to locate and arrest McAtee without incident.
McAtee was charged with 3 counts of Child Solicitation & Dissemination of Matter Harmful to Minors.
