LOOGOOTEE - DECEMBER 16, 2023 - The Loogootee Police Department announces the promotion of Captain Kelly Rayhill to Assistant Chief of Police.

Assistant Chief Rayhill is a 20+ year veteran of the department and has held various roles such as Chief of Police for about 20 years.
Chief of Police Kyle Long stated, “I am honored to be able to have Kelly serve as my Assistant Chief. The amount of experience, care, and love he has for the department, as well as the community, is second to none. Assistant Chief Rayhill has also been a mentor not only to me but past officers, present officers and will be to the future officers to come”.
Assistant Chief Rayhill will continue to serve as School Resource Officer for the Loogootee School District.
