MONROE COUNTY - OCTOBER 22, 2023 - Lawrence County resident and former Bedford firefighter Leyton Craig won the nomination for Firefighter of the Year by the Monroe Fire Protection District on Wednesday.
Congratulations to Sergeant Leyton Craig and Battalion Chief (Ret) Dave Calvin. Sgt. Craig won this year’s Exchange Club Firefighter of The Year Award. Sgt. Craig was nominated by his Lieutenant for the leadership he has shown both on scene and at the firehouse. Battalion Chief Dave Calvin was nominated for the Life Time Achievement Award.
