LAWRENCE COUNTY - ( April 17, 2022) - The Lawrence County Police Department is investigating a two-vehicle traffic accident on State Road 37 just north of the Orange County line, Sunday afternoon.

According to reports at least one person has been seriously injured. That person has been airlifted to an trauma center by Air Evac Air Ambulance Service.
The person had to be extricated from the wreckage by firefighters. No reports on the whether any other person was injured in the accident.
The accident was reported at 3:35 p.m.

Lawrence County Police Department, Marion Township Volunteer Fire Department, Bedford Fire Department, IU Lifeline Ambulance Service, and Air Evac responded to the scene.
