LAWRENCE COUNTY - JULY 26, 2023 - Lawrence County residents, taxpayers and users of the Lawrence County Courthouse are reminded of new hours starting on Monday.

The Lawrence County Courthouse will open at 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
On June 19 th , 2023, the Lawrence County Commissioners approved a proposal presented by Administrative Director Travis Sanders to change the hours of the Lawrence County Courthouse, and the offices held within.
Effective July 31, 2023, the Lawrence County Courthouse, and the offices within, will be open from 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Affected
offices include the Auditor, Assessor, Treasurer, Recorder, Clerk, Surveyor,
Administration, and Circuit Court.
Additionally, in the Courthouse Plaza, Superior Court II will be updating their hours
(Superior Court I has already been running on an 8:00am – 4:00pm schedule).

Other county offices (Public Defender, Prosecutor, Probation, Health Department, etc.)
have reserved the right to adjust their public hours to coincide. The public will be notified of any additional changes.
