BEDFORD - (January 3, 2022) - Bedford Police Department announces street closures tomorrow starting at 12:15 p.m. throughout parts of the city.
"We would like to inform the public that there will be a large procession along the route in this attached photograph. This procession is to honor retired K9 Officer Michael Johnson. We’re aware that Officer Johnson made a lasting impact on several members of our community by being our first DARE Officer and conducting dog training through the Parks Department.
Members of the community are welcome to line the route to show support to Officer Johnson and his family. The designated route will have the streets blocked starting at approximately 12:15 pm and will remain closed until the conclusion of the procession. The Bedford Police Department would like to thank the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department, Indiana State Police, and the Bedford Fire Department for their assistance during this time.
