Kid Kentucky entertains Friday night at Bedrock Biker Rally -event concludes tonight

LAWRENCE COUNTY - SEPTEMBER - 9, 2023 - The final night of the Bedrock Biker Rally has begun today and this evening.


However, "Kid Kentucky"came to Lawrence County for a visit Friday night performing at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds.

The group performed several of the Kid Rock hits for more than 90 minutes for a decent crowd.



" My mother and I was born in Indiana; myself around Indianapolis, I lived in the Bedford area for a few years in the 80s. Most of my mom's family still lives here. There is a lot of great connections coming back here around in Lawrence County," said Suiters.

" I am happy being back here in Bedford putting on the show for the Bedford Bike Rally. I now reside in Kentucky, but Indiana will always be my home,"


The "Kid Kentucky" has been doing this about five years now, touring all over the country at several bike events. " The most important to our hearts is that people come out and come and celebrate us not tolerate us,"



The three-day event has an increase in attendance over the June event. The organizers are planning another event in September of next year.



" We have three times or four times the amount of the first rally. We have worked hard in getting the word out. The event in its infancy trying to offer community events at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds. We are humbled at this event's attendance," said Allyssa Dorsett.


Attendees from Maryland, Missouri and Wisconsin attended the 2nd Bedrock Biker Rally.


The charity ride held on Friday morning had 18 participants with $300 raised and given to local veterans.


Saturday night events:



The event has security being provided by local off-duty police officers and emergency medical service along with fire protection.


Many have came to camp on the fairgrounds and others just to visit for day or evening.



The organizers are hopeful the event continues to grow.
