Judge orders prison sentence for Mitchell woman who failed to comply with probation terms


BEDFORD – JANUARY 5, 2023 - On December 22, 2022, A Mitchell woman was sentenced to the Indiana Department of Correction by Lawrence Superior Court II Judge Robert Cline after failing to comply with the terms of her probation.

Bridget J. Adams, 49, Mitchell, pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony, on june 16, 2022, as a part of a negotiated plea agreement with the State of Indiana. She was originally sentenced to 910 days, with time served, and the remainder of her sentence suspended.


She was ordered to serve 365 days on supervised probation in exchange for her guilty plea.

However, after failing to comply with the terms and conditions of her probation, numerous times, on December 22, 2022, Cline sentenced Adams to 880 days in the Indiana Department of Correction.
