BEDFORD - NOVEMBER 18, 2023 - Bedford Police Departmtent is investigating an accident involving IU Lifeline ambulance and a pick-up truck at 16th Street and Indiana State Road 37.
The southbound lane of Indiana 37 is closed at John Williams Blvd while emergency crews work the accident.
Bedford Fire Department crews performed extrication at the scene. The extircation taking several minutes to free all the accident victims.
The accident was reported around 3:15 am Saturday morning.
Stat Flight and IU Lifeline air ambulance was dispatched to the scene. The helicoptersarriving about 40 minutes later.

There have been several accidents at this intersection in past couple of weeks.
Bedford Police, Bedford Fire, Indiana State Police, IU Lifeline Ambulance, Stat Flight and IU Lifeline Air ambulance was at the scene.
Ambulance coverage for Lawrence County was provided by other county ambulance and the Lawrence County Fire Territory.
