LAWRENCE COUNTY - JUNE 26, 2023 - There are several events that are happening on Saturday July 1st as the community continues to celebrate the Independence Day Holiday.
On Friday, June 30, 2023 - From 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm Annual Dr. Dan Schafer Memorial Fish Fry hosted by the Bedford Rotary.
The event will be held at the Thornton Park in Bedford. Join the Rotary Club with delicious fish or chicken, sides, desserts and refreshments.
Adults - $15 and $7 for children - Tickets can be purchased ahead of time at Copy Trolley, Bedford Chamber of Commerce, or from a club member.

On Saturday starting at noon, the Oolitic VFW Post #1686 will be hosting a fish fry. The event will kick-off at noon and last until they run out of fish.
Fish, Hush puppies, Fries, and Onion Rings will be offered. Price is $10 adults, $5 Children 12 and under. Attendees are asked to bring a side dish or dessert.
Thunder Over Heltonville Event - Saturday July 1st beginning at 6:30 pm with food, games, and Kid Zone. The music group Helton Ridge will be live in concert from 7:30 pm until the fireworks show. For more information call 812-508-5010 the event sponsored by the Pleasant Run Park.
The City of Mitchell in parternship with local volunteers will be holding their annual fireworks display held on Saturday, July 1st, 2023 at the Lehigh Field. The show will begin at around 10:00 pm
The City of Bedford will be hosting their third annual fireworks display at on Tuesday July 4th Wilson Park at around 10:00 pm. Wilson Park will be closed to the public during the display, residents can find a parking place throughout the area during the show.
