MITCHELL - (February 28, 2022) - Firefighters responded to a structure fire Monday evening in the 500 block of Southridge Drive.

The call reporting the fire came in at 5:36 p.m. with firefighters from Marion Township, Shawswick, Huron and Oolitic Fire Volunteer Fire Department responding to the blaze.

Firefighters found smoke billowing out of a garage. Occupant of the home made it out safely. One of the female occupants visibly shaken from the fire.

There were no injuries reported with Seals Ambulance crews standing by at the scene.
Lawrence County Zephyr have reached out to the Marion Township Volunteer Fire Department for further information on this evening's fire.
