Firefighters quickly extinguish residential fire Saturday afternoon on Bartlettsville Road

BARTLETTSVILLE - MARCH 9, 2024 - Firefighters was able to quickly extinguish a residential fire Saturday afternoon on Barlettsville Road.



Firefighters from the Pleasant Run Township Volunteer Fire Department and Marshall Township Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the 2900 block of Bartlettsville Road on reports of smoke coming from the eaves of the residence.


Firefighters had the fire out within ten minutes of arriving.


No one was to the residence at the time of the call. A unattended wood stove may be the blame for the fire.



The fire was contained to the living room with smoke damage throughout the residence. Firefighters used thermal imaging to detect hot spots and making sure that the fire was completely out.



Lawrence County Sheriffs Department and IU Lifeline Ambulance assisted fire crews at the scene. There were no injuries reported.
