DAVIESS COUNTY - OCTOBER 19, 2022 - Several fire departments from Daviess and Greene County are battling a large wildland fire on County Road 1650 North near Interstate 69 in Daviess County.
The call reporting the fire came in around 3:38 p.m. with fire officials requesting assistance from Greene County Fire Departments in fighting the fire.
There is a burn ban in place for Daviess County, however it is not known what has caused this fire.
At this time there a total of 18 counties throughout the state that have issued burn bans. Dry and windy conditions have made it unsafe for Indiana residents to have any outside burning at this time.
