Firefighters Battling Cold Temps and Fire

MITCHELL - Firefighters are battling cold temps and a house fire in the 600 block of 8th Street in Mitchell.

The call came in from a delivery driver reporting the fire shortly after 9:00 p.m.

Currently, firefighters from Mitchell and Marion Township along with Mitchell Police and Seals Ambulance Service on the scene.

The fire appears to be coming from the rear of the home.

Both gas and electric companies have been contacted to come to the scene.

No word at time what caused the fire. No injuries have been reported at this time.
