FRENCH LICK - JANUARY 14, 2024 - Firefighters from Springs valley Fire Territory and Orange County Rural District 1 Fire Department was dispatched to an early morning house fire in the 8400 block of South Walnut Street.

The fire reported around 5:30 am Sunday morning and a firefighter injured while fighting the fire. No other information was provided.
Orange County EMS was dispatched to the scene.
Firefighters braving temperatures of 6 degrees have made their jobs that much difficult.
Paoli Volunteer Fire Department was placed on stand-by around 6:00 am before being dispatched to assist just before 6:30 am.
This would make the second structure in Orange County since Saturday morning. A structure fire spread to a vehicle due to high winds early Saturday morning in Paoli.
Paoli Volunteer Fire Department reminds residents due not leave space heaters unattended.
