BEDFORD - JUNE 21, 2023 - The Bedford Board of Works have approved for the agreement with Duke Energy to bring an electric vehicle charging station to the City of Bedford.

The charging station will be located on the back parking lot of Bedford City Hall near the Bedford Chamber of Commerce.
The two charging stations will allow four vehicles to charge at the same time with the vehicles facing one another. The charging station should have a vehicle charged within 30 minutes.
The Board of Works approved a five-year contract with Duke, that will allow the city to take over the program, remove the charging station, or continue with Duke.
More information will be made available as the electric vehicle charging station is installed.
