DAVIESS COUNTY - AUGUST 28 ,2023 - On August 28, 2023, at 1:15 pm Daviess County Central Dispatch received a 9-1- 1 call reference a body floating in West Boggs Lake at a private dock. on Upper Point Circle.
Deputies from the Daviess County Sheriff's Department discovered 77-year-old Jerry Shadle of Upper Point Drive face down in the water near a boat dock. It appears that Mr. Shadle was fishing off an adjoining dock and fell in the lake where he was discovered by a friend. He was in the water for an unknown amount of time.
Daviess County Coroner office will be conducting further investigation into this matter. Daviess County Sheriff Deputies were assisted at the scene by Indiana Conservation Officers who will also be investigating the death, Cannelburg , Montgomery Volunteer Fire Departments and Daviess Community Hospital Ambulance.
