SEYMOUR - ( March 28, 2022) - On March 28, 2021, at approximately 9:31 AM, the Seymour Police Department received a report of a single vehicle crash in the 5000 block of West Tipton St.

When officers and investigators arrived at the scene, it was determined that a 2012 GMC Acadia driven by Vicky J. Pittman age 63 of Brownstown, was traveling West on Tipton St. when the vehicle left the roadway and rolled over at least one time. Pittman was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

The Seymour Police Department Vehicle Crash Unit was assisted by Crash Investigators with the Indiana State Police, the Seymour Fire Department, Jackson County EMS, and the Jackson County Coroner. Family members of Pittman have been notified.
