"The first ten miles was to bring awareness to the greatest need in our lives Jesus Christ," said Pastor Billy Brim.

According to Brim the next 3.16 Miles was to bring awareness to Cervical Cancer, and then 3.16 Miles was dedicated to Ehler's Danos Disease, 3.16 Miles dedicated to Obesity and being overweight.

" I want to encourage people to commit to a healthy lifestyle. We only get one life, one chance and need to give it our very best," said Brim.

In the scriptures it tells us to Be Strong, Be Courageous, do not be afraid or discouraged for the Lord is your God is with you, wherever you go, Joshoua 1:9.

Cervical Cancer - is the fourth most common cancer among women globally with an estimated 604,000 new cases and 342,000 deaths in 2020. In 2022, about 14,100 cases of invasive cervical cancer will be diagnosed and 4,280 women will die of cervical cancer according to the American Cancer Society.

Cervical pre-cancers are diagnosed more often than invasive cervical cancer.

Cervical cancer was one of the most common cancer deaths for American women. The death rate decreased with the Pap Test. Early testing is the key when its small and easier to cure.

Ehler's - Danos Syndrome or EDS is a group of inherited disorders that mostly affect the skin, joints, and blood vessels. They are fewer than 200,000 cases a year. The cause is a defect in collagen proteins that add flexibility and strength to connective tissue.

People with the disorder have a faulty gene that leads to weak collagen in their tissues.

Weight and Obesity issues nearly 1 in 3 adults or 30 percent are overweight. More than 1 in 3 men (34.1 %) and more than 1 in 4 women (27 .5%) are overweight. More than 2 in 5 adults or (42.4 %) have obesity and about 1 in 11 adults have severe obesity.

Obesity is a common and serious and costly disease.

During the trip the Brim's met people along the way, some giving them water and encouragement as they made the journey from the northern part of Lawrence County to Mitchell.
