ZELMA - JANUARY 16, 2024 - Pleasant Run Township Volunteer Fire Department was called to assist property owners in rescuing a horse that was in a pond Tuesday afternoon.
The call reporting the incident came in around 3:45 pm with Pleasant Run Township Volunteer Fire Department requesting rope and manpower from the Monroe Fire Protection District.
The incident took place in the 11000 block of Indiana State Road 58 East near the Lawrence County/ Jackson County line.
Monroe Fire Protection District was cancelled while enroute.
The property owner was able to get the horse out before fire crews arrived.
