BEDFORD - (February 3, 2022) - Bedford Street Department have already been on the job early Thursday morning trying to get ahead of some more inclement weather.

The National Weather Service has predicted 4-7 inches of snow for the Lawrence County area.
At 4:00 a.m. some freezing rain, and snow was beginning to fall and side streets in Bedford were starting to become covered with a small layer of ice.

Across the state in northern Indiana roadways were not in good shape as travel warnings were issued in several counties including Brown County.
Local schools, Lawrence County Courthouse, and other businesses have decided to close ahead of the anticipated Winter Storm. Lawrence County is still under a Winter Storm Warning.

In Crawford County a disaster proclamation was already issued late Wednesday night.
